Natalie Pätzold is a German visual artist who recently graduated with a BA 1st Class Honours Degree in Photography from the UCA. Motivated by a keen intent to further deepen her theoretical and practical knowledge she currently studies for a MFA in Photography at the University for the Creative Arts, UK.
Pätzold's practical work is rooted in research and themes of home, loss and belonging. Her main focus on the theoretical side concentrates on simulacra and indexicality in connection to digital tourist photography.
